We sat down with Brittanie to hear first-hand how Iron Tribe has transformed her physically and mentally:

How did you hear about Iron Tribe?

To be honest, I was looking for a Crossfit gym to join. I crossed paths with Iron Tribe and I thought I would give it a shot.

Why did you decide to join Iron Tribe?

I decided to join Iron Tribe because I wanted to get fit, learn new skills and set new personal records!

What was your first class experience like?

I always get a little timid when I first go into a new gym, but at Iron Tribe I felt like I was part of the family. My first class experience was awesome. We were working on deadlifts that day and everyone was cheering me on and giving me confidence to move up in weight. I believe I went 15 pounds over my PR that day!

What has been your biggest success?

One of my biggest successes is when my body proves my mind wrong over and over again and I start to realize I can finish these workouts, hit new PR's and conquer new skills!

One success that sticks out in my mind the most was being able to do kipping pull-ups. I had to literally work down from the bottom by constantly doing modified pull-ups to make me stronger. One day all the pieces came together and I was strong enough. That was one of the most incredible feelings knowing that all that hard work I did had finally paid off.

What has been your biggest struggle?

I would say my biggest struggle is not being patient enough. Some days my body does not want to perform the way I want it to. I have to remind myself that results take time and that the hard work I am putting in everyday will payoff!

What's something you learned about fitness/nutrition at Iron Tribe?

They helped me realize that when I put fitness and nutrition together, that’s when the real change happens. When you start to see your body and your performance change, that’s when you become unstoppable! You almost feel like you’re on top of the world.

What do you think the biggest misconception of Iron Tribe is?

The biggest misconception is that it’s only for the athletic-type person, you have to be in shape or you have to be able to do all of the movements. That’s why I like Iron Tribe — it really is for everyone just like they say. If your not in shape, they will help you get in shape. People are always there pushing you and cheering you on, and if you are not able to do a certain movement, they will modify it for you!

How has Iron Tribe changed your overall health?

They helped me become more aware of my health. The coaches laid out (a nutrition plan) for me and guided me through it. I saw instant results in my physique and performance.

Why would you encourage others to give it a try?

Iron Tribe is going to push you out of your comfort zone and make you the stronger, healthier version of yourself. The results will come and they are real!
